Overview

Education: Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited university,
professional registration highly preferred.

Experience: Three (3) to Seven (7) years of experience in power, automation, and information systems
for packaging and production systems and/or automated manufacturing systems preferred. Experience
in the food, pharmaceutical, beverage, or consumer products industries is preferred. Candidate must be
computer literate. Computer Aided Design (CAD) experience is desirable.

Duties: This position reports administratively to an Engineering Manager and is functionally assigned to
a Project Manager. The Electrical Project Engineer will provide engineering expertise and guidance to
the Design Engineers, and will make sure that the project is technically sound, on schedule, and within
budget.

In addition to the above, the Electrical Project Engineer’s duties will include but are not limited to:

 Adherence to the National Electrical Code (NEC);
 Develop and implement design standards;
 Develop equipment specifications and Issue For Bid (IFB) and Issue For Construction
(IFC) packages;
 Evaluating equipment requirements and procurement Issue For Bid (IFB) and Issue For
Construction (IFC);
 Coordinating Project Teams;
 Maintaining project plans and schedules;
 Processing studies;
 Establishing resource schedules;
 Installation and start-up control loop debug and tuning;
 Direct the work of construction crews & service technicians;
 Develop sequence of operation & control system architecture;
 Develop and implement controller programming (HMI, PLC);
 Develop & implement an acceptance test plan for the equipment at vendor’s facility and
for the installed system at customer’s facility;
 Ensure all drawings are updated at completion of project;
 Develop personal technical skills as well as those of co-workers.

be technically conscientious, be able to stay on task and complete work on schedule, be able to work
independently as well as on a team, and promote the principles and professionalism.
